Where I am...

I started this adoption journey almost four years ago. There have been many unexpected twists and turns but now I am on the road to adopting a baby girl from Russia. Although not her real name we will call her...Hope. For it symbolizes what she is. A miracle, sometimes a dream, always longed and prayed for. With all current paperwork completed all that stands in my way is finances. I invite you to follow my journey as my faith is tested, my belief grows deeper, and soon my Hope will be placed in my arms after so long living in my heart...May you be inspired, encouraged, humored, provoked to think, and always drawn closer to God.

God Is...

God Is....Consistent

Year after year the colors change, the snow falls, the spring emerges after months of frost and darkness. Day after day the sun rises, the moon follows her fall across the sky. God is consistent. He is fair, real. This gives me a measure of safety in a world of constant change. So, even though the colors of Fall announce the changes in the seasons....we can count on that change, just as we can count on God and His never-ending love for us...
___________________________________________

This past weekend I did alot of introspection. This was prompted by my realization that I am being pulled in so many directions that I am accomplishing nothing. My conclusion is that I deeply want to give each of my pursuits the value and time they deserve.
After much prayer and thought, I have decided to put JUST the foster-to-adopt licensing process on hold until the first of the year. At that time I will take it off the shelf and begin again.  I am STILL actively working on my Russian adoption and will continue to be posting and working toward that end.
I have also started a new position as the ICU unit coordinator at my hospital. We have restructured our unit, have a new ICU director, and are undergoing alot of changes. Its stressful and emotionally consuming right now.
So, one thing at a time, right? The foster-to-adopt is to be continued. Meanwhile, Russia, here I COME!!!
