Where I am...

I started this adoption journey almost four years ago. There have been many unexpected twists and turns but now I am on the road to adopting a baby girl from Russia. Although not her real name we will call her...Hope. For it symbolizes what she is. A miracle, sometimes a dream, always longed and prayed for. With all current paperwork completed all that stands in my way is finances. I invite you to follow my journey as my faith is tested, my belief grows deeper, and soon my Hope will be placed in my arms after so long living in my heart...May you be inspired, encouraged, humored, provoked to think, and always drawn closer to God.

Foster to adoption

Today I am off bright and early for about a two hour drive. As i have mentioned before, I have also decided to keep my adoption options open as it were and explore all avenues. In addition to my Russian adoption plans I have been working on the remote possibility of adopting an infant or young child from here in the US. This would be from the "foster-to-adopt" program.
There is a set of classes that I must attend. Four days of them. So I will be taking classes today tomorrow and all next weekend. I hope and pray it will lead to something...or someone!! I will keep you posted!

  2. HI! I'm not sure where you live but our church has an amazing ministry called Tapestry. It serves all people, all churches for all types of foster care or adoption. EVERYTHING! If you would like to be in touch with some people who can encourage you on the foster to adopt journey let me know. Also, our church is Irving Bible Church. You can check out the Tapestry link. Lots of help and hope there! Can't wait to hear what is next for you.
